Service
Sandy is currently serving on the Lake Forest Park City Council.
Education
Sandy received her BS in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and her MS and PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin. She moved to Washington to perform post-doctoral research in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington.
Communication has always been an integral part of her career. She is often called upon to represent cross–functional teams, presenting their research findings. This requires diplomacy and the ability to respond to tough questions under pressure, skills that have served her well on the LFP City Council.
Sandy has 17 published scientific journal articles and has co-authored a book section.
One of her interests is promoting science education and she has participated in outreach programs for K-12 students and teachers coordinated by the Department of Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Washington.
